EAST WHITELAND, PA – Those driving in East Whiteland Thursday and Friday nights, as well as Friday and Saturday mornings, will encounter lane restrictions to accommodate sign installations, PennDOT said.
The right lane of southbound U.S. Route 202 will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday, December 7, until 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, as well as from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.
Lane restrictions will be in place between the Route 401 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass interchanges, according to PennDOT.
The work is part of a $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the adjacent U.S. 30 ramp and to remove and replace deteriorated concrete pavement on the U.S. 202 ramps to and from the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
