Ardmore Oktoberfest: What You Need To Know

ARDMORE, PA – Ardmore will transform into a slice of Germany Saturday, Sept. 23 as it is hosting its Oktoberfest celebration that promises to fulfill your autumnal food, drink, and entertainment desires.

Ardmore Oktoberfest will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 on Cricket Avenue in downtown Ardmore.

General admission is $1 for a 21 and up wristband, and VIP tickets cost $50 and get you three drink tickets, access to the VIP beer garden at Tired Hands with food and drink.

Wristband tickets are available at the day of the event, but VIP tickets are available online here. The festival is a cash-only event.

The day will feature traditional German foods, such as bratwurst, pretzels, and potato pancakes, courtesy of McCloskey’s Tavern, John Henry’s Pub, and Jack McShea’s.


As for beer (arguably the most important part of any Oktoberfest celebration) attendees can enjoy German, local, and seasonal beers and ciders including Paulaner Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Spaten Oktoberfest, Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin, Strongbow Golden Apple Cider, Easy Jack IPA, Tired Hands Brewing Company HopHands, and more.

A special VIP beer garden will be hosted by Tired Hands. VIP tickets will give you access to the garden, which features roast pig, coleslaw, German potato salad, German pretzels and non-alcoholic refreshments. And of course, the garden will include a selection of Tired Hands beers not available to the general public.

While you eat and drink your fill, The O’Fenders and the James D. Oompah Band will fill the air with music throughout the day.

Kids can enjoy time with Let Them Play Learning Center and Merion Art & Repro, which are hosting craft activities for kids. There will be face painting with Oktoberfest designs, as well.

If you don't want the kids to tag along, there is babysitting for $25 per child courtesy of Let Them Play Learning Center. Kids will get two hours of crafts and snacks. Register your kids by calling (484) 413-2928.
