PHILADELPHIA, PA - Need a way to encourage your child to crack open a novel this summer? Barnes and Noble reward diligent young readers with a free book! The guidelines are simple, and any child in grades 1-6 is welcome to participate. Learn how your youngster can customize their own Summer Reading program with Barnes and Noble and earn a free book in three simple steps.
Earn a Free Book with Barnes and Noble
1. Read any eight books. Record your progress in a Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Journal - be sure to include details like your favorite part of the book, and why you enjoyed it.
2. Bring your Reading Journal to Barnes and Noble. Once you've completed all eight books and filled in your Summer Reading Journal, take it to a Barnes and Noble before the Sept. 5 deadline. You can find a Barnes and Noble store in your neighborhood.
3. Choose your free book. Pick your reading reward from the list of titles located on the back of your Summer Reading Journal. Options are divided into grade level categories: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6.
